Courses are offered from September to June, Monday to Thursday evenings, between 4:30 pm and 9 pm, individually (one-on-one).
Please note that at this moment, course handouts can only be provided in French.
Introduction to In-Studio Photography
Duration: 2 hours.
Cost: $200, including 4 hours of studio rental (5 pm to 9 pm) ($80 for each additional participant).
Using the studio equipment, lighting control and colour calibration techniques will be taught in this course. With the use of various lighting sources and various composition advice, participants will be able to achieve professional studio photography results.
The proposed format is as follows: we will start with 2 hours of studio training. Upon completion of the first hour of training, you are free to invite an amateur or professional model so you can practice your newly acquired skills. The trainer will accompany you until the end of the 2-hour training session and will guide you on the spot giving you the best techniques and professional tips. After the training session has completed, you will continue to have access to the studio until the end of your rental time slot (9 PM for the evening time slot). This will give you the occasion to create your first studio portfolio. If a problem arises, the instructor can always be reached by phone to get help.
Advanced Studio Techniques
Duration: 2 hours.
Cost: $200, including 4 hours of studio rental (5 pm to 9 pm) ($80 for each additional participant).
This course is the next step for photographers who want greater control of the studio environment. The photographer will learn to calibrate the colours and exposure to obtain the desired results. We discuss various lighting techniques and learn how to use the digital RAW format for perfect control over the pictures.
